Customer Apps Operations Analyst - INF001679

The Customer Apps Operations Analyst is part of a group that provides technical ownership and end to end support of applications involving UScellular's Business to Business and Government, IoT / Automation lines of business for current capabilities, new implementations, and upgrades.

The Customer Apps Operations Analyst
  • Ensures that new applications and platforms are operationally ready by playing a crucial role in the end-to-end process.
  • Works with solution architects to define operational requirements to identify and address any inter-application dependencies, interfaces, and operational constraints.
  • Participates in incident and problem management activities by guiding, identifying, and solving issues and problems and ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Has a good understanding of cloud-based architectures and stay on top of industry trends and evolution around new technologies such as SaaS, PaaS, etc. for assigned domains.
  • Drives execution of innovative solutions using agile / DevOps methodologies for quick time to market.
As a Customer Apps Operations Analyst, you will get exposure to various technologies and/or platforms including Salesforce, IoT, Carrier Billing, BSS/OSS as well as experience with implementations of a carrier-grade platforms such as Nokia WING.

Essential Functions
  • Provide proven knowledge of technical and middleware architecture, and guide business, operations, and technology teams for responsible domains
  • Provide technical and functional mentorship in multiple USCC and third-party applications and platforms at the design and data level
  • Assume end to end technical operational ownership of apps and platforms and partner with internal and external groups to ensure smooth operations
  • Participate in RFP process for new initiatives and ensure that SOWs and SLAs meet operational requirements
  • Identify, solve, and drive resolution of application issues and defects following established processes
  • Responsible for operational budget for projects and new initiatives within assigned domain
  • Partner with Business and Sales and internal teams to shape and execute business sales roadmap
  • Partner with external vendors and service providers and drive production support availability and issue resolution
  • Perform on-call responsibilities and provide off hours support as needed
  • Partner with the Release Management to drive and ensure operational readiness including defining needs to ensure success and reviewing and validating test plans
  • Identify and communicate risks associated with component or application implementation and product rollout
  • Assess potential operational outcomes for new products and features using structured and results driven approach while maintaining speed and agility
  • Perform research and analysis for various initiatives drawing impactful conclusions focusing on customer experience
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment, facilitating positive energy and engagement and maintain merits of Dynamic Organization philosophy
  • Build and deploy internal processes and frameworks to support the onboarding and success Business Customers

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in Information Technology or Computer Science. Will also consider equivalent combination of education and experience or specialized training
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience (technical and operations) required
  • Experience in agile methodologies preferred
  • Experience in cloud-based technologies preferred

  • Business to Business and Government knowledge
  • SQL experience for pulling reports
  • Scripting experience - Automation / Automating Manual Processes
  • API Knowledge: Web Services, REST API, SOAP, WSDL
  • Working knowledge or interest in learning IoT specific network technologies such as CAT-M, NB-IoT, mMTC, SCEF, NIDD, LWM2M, etc.
  • Working knowledge or interest in learning carrier grade connectivity management platform such as Nokia Wing, Cisco Jaspar, or Ericsson DCP
