Sr. Retail Analytics Analyst - SAL022654

The Sr. Retail Analytics Analyst is key member of the Multi-Channel Performance Optimization team with responsibility for driving channel insights through the use of analytics and performance reporting. The Senior Consumer Sales Perf Insights Analyst is expected to be a thought leader in analysis, fostering innovation and providing expertise in analytical methodology and tools with the objective of proactively driving and creating critical insights that clearly identify performance highlights, opportunities, and trends across and within channels.
  • Interpret complex data problems & structures and gather requirements to develop reporting and analysis solutions to meet the needs of the business and stakeholders. Use business storytelling abilities to provide insights that include a root cause and actionable solutions.
  • Performs ad hoc data requests directly from Data Warehouse or source systems to generate useful business insights and present timely business critical results.
  • Work independently with large data sets to create data solutions. Correlate, synthesize, validate, understand and report operational, customer engagement, quantitative and qualitative data points to identify key insights and trends.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and work with I/T and third parties to drive proactive, detailed channel analytics, trend monitoring, analysis, and reporting of multiple performance metrics and best practices for analytical tools, data warehouse access and QA.
  • Trouble-shoot and develop solutions to technical issues involving data aggregation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with technical and business leaders to develop and maintain ongoing and ad-hoc reports to track key performance metrics related to Multi-Channel performance support and process improvement.
  • Acts as the key resource to identify areas of improvement, increase efficiency, drive implementation and automation of reporting processes and procedures. Defining and refining business analysis practices and best in class procedures.
  • Drive business decisions informing the organization around trends, insights and recommendations and measurement of the impacts of internal performance processes and enterprise initiatives.
  • Analyze Voice of the Customer data to ensure program is driving anticipated results and return on investment.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in relevant analytical field with strong analytical, conceptual and strategic skills needed. Ability to work with imperfect or incompatible data to independently develop actionable insights and deliver to an executive audience.
  • Past experience (1-2 years) with in-depth knowledge of systems development, data extraction, data aggregation, and business intelligence (BI), along with advanced SQL coding/querying and automated reporting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of statistical analysis and data mining tools with advanced analytical skills in understanding, assessing and deriving critical insights from multiple data sets.
  • Advanced ability to use Suite of Microsoft Office products, Excel - VLookup and Pivot skills, VB, MS-Access, Power Point and other Microsoft Tools.
  • Expertise on a range of Business Intelligence tools such as: IBM Cognos, Alteryx, Tableau, Oracle SQL Developer, and Esri ArcGIS.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • MBA strongly preferred
