Director – Contract Management Services (CMS) for Business Management (BPM) Practice for our Direct Client. Summary Our directClient is looking for a Director to lead its Contract Management Services (CMS) practice; part of Business Process Management (BPM) vertical. This is a leadership position that requires an entrepreneurial mindset to build on a strong foundation and take the contract management practice to the next level. The leader should also aspire to grow the business innovatively in different areas of process management. The position provides ample scope for growth within the Firm. Client's Business Process Management (BPM) Practice The BPM practice was set up about 15 years ago and currently has about 400 people. It serves both overseas as well as domestic clients from its delivery centers in Pune and Gurugram, India. It currently provides business process solutions in the domains of finance & accounting, and contract management. Its’ focus is mid-sized companies with a multi-business and/or geographical spread and fast-growth companies that need a reliable, flexible, and agile delivery partner. Client’s strong differentiator is its service orientation from a legacy of professional services, a passion for performance improvement, powered by smart use of technology. Contract Management Services (CMS) background They manage end-to-end contract management of low, medium, and high complexity contracts. These processes include drafting and negotiation of contracts, post-execution support such as abstraction and obligation tracking. We also execute consulting assignments relating to setting up contract management processes, tool selection and implementation, playbook creation, template harmonization, etc. The importance of the process managed by Client is that: Contracts are executed within committed turnaround times so that the engagement between their client and their vendors commences without any delay The legal risk to client's is adequately managed The partnering relationship between our client and their vendors/consultants/service providers is enhanced Their client’s procurement team and legal counsel are freed for more complex contracts and business support. The processes are transformed using leading technologies to provide committed cost reduction to the client The Project Director position As head of the project, the role will initially be to take charge of the current operations and manage the setting up and stabilizing the new scope, from resourcing to transition management to strengthening the client relationship and taking the project to a steady-state. It will involve overseeing teams in multiple geographies globally, lead and manage the project, including client relationship, oversight of deliverables, people development and management, and operational excellence. The incumbent will be responsible for - seamless operations management, delivering value to the client, managing Governance, and delivering the committed cost reduction through process transformation. - the P&L of the project and will also be involved in growing the revenues through new client acquisition, product development, and growth of existing accounts Key Result Areas Corporate Financial performance including overall growth - revenues, gross and net margins and receivables; and Goal setting, including five-year plans, annual business plan, and goals at each level of the practice leadership, aligned to Group and BPM goals. Business growth Strategy formulation and implementation Work with Global Sales & Marketing functions in: o Developing Sales and Marketing strategy for the practice, o Ensuring and monitoring the implementation of the strategy Remaining current with the competition in the market and articulating Client’s value proposition; Sensing market changes and client expectations to bring changes in or expanding service offerings within the practice. Sales & Marketing Achieving the practice’s revenue target; Playing an active role in operational sales pitches at all stages, from lead conversion to proposal writing to negotiation and closure; Being visible in the market as a thought leader by participating in speaking and writing opportunities and participating in seminars and conferences; Understanding client business and creating awareness regarding Client’s service offerings; Sensing client needs and bringing in Client's global sales to offer relevant Cleint services. Client Relationships Engage with client senior management to understand their needs and expectations, and feedback regularly so that our delivery is focused at all time on value creation for the client; Working with the Firm’s management, engage client senior management to grow the relationship beyond that of a service provider to a trusted business partner and assist in mining all of the Firm’s other products and services as the situation requires. Identifying and communicating to the client the knowledge, coupled with tailor-made models that can be leveraged to build appropriate solutions for the Customers. Service Excellence Provide leadership to ensure that team members at all levels are focused on value creation for the client; Foster a culture of continual improvement and freedom to innovate and transform; Build an ecosystem that enables the practice to harness the expertise, including technology that is required for providing a complete solution to clients; The transformation also includes the intelligent deployment of technology within the Contract Management practice; Work with other practices within Client to build and deliver seamless solutions that cross-domain specialization. Reporting / Direct reports Executive Director – BPM, India Multiple direct reports across geographies Candidate Profile Domain Passionate about business process solutions and having a solutions approach to client issues; Worked with clients in Contract management for 10 to 15 years with exposure to client acquisition, RFP/RFI process, contracting, negotiating pricing, BCP, people related matters, setting up a relevant team to work with clients on solutioning; From the relevant industry who has experience developing integrated solutions / worked in Centre of Excellence / similar teams. Experience in consulting / solutioning / technology will be an added advantage. Experience in handling multi-locational delivery and teams working in shifts. Technology Extensive exposure to the use of technologies embedded in the delivery of services to deliver value to our clients; Knowledge of automation and impact of technology; and Ability to build partnerships/alliances with various service providers in Technology, Reporting, RPA, etc., and delivery partnerships. Personality Highly articulate with an outgoing polished personality to interact with clients‘ senior management from different countries; An international outlook and cross-cultural comfort; An inspirational leader with an assertive personality but with a coaching and mentoring approach toward people within his/her team; Quiet business aggression coupled with a strong sense of Values and Business Ethics is a must; Good experience of working with cross-functional teams and have a collaborative work ethic; Willingness and openness for new ideas from internal and external customers; and Should be comfortable being the Voice of Client various forums with a genuine desire to network and be a Thought Leader at seminars and conferences, round tables in India and abroad.
