NETA Field Service Technician/Engineer-Electrical Testing/Maintenance

Education & Experience:Technical school graduate and or engineering degreeMinimum of 3 - 5 years experience testing and evaluating low, medium and high voltage electrical power systemsCertified as a NETA or NICET technicians, or equivalent Utility, manufacturer or other technical training

Job Responsibilities:Read and understand electrical one line drawingsPerform all aspects of testing and maintenance of electrical power distribution systems including start up and commissioning.Inspect, Test, Maintain, Troubleshoot and Repair the following low, medium, and high voltage electrical distribution equipment:-Automatic Transfer Switches-Circuit breakers-Conductors-Relays-Starters-Switchgears-TransformersPerform power system studies such as Short Circuit & Coordination, Arc Flash and Load FlowOperate an infrared thermography camera, and diagnose equipment accordinglyWrite complete, detailed electronic reports promptly after project completion.

Other Required Skills:Strong computer skills: including proficiency in the Microsoft Office SuiteEffective written and oral communication skills to maintain relationships with managers and clients.

Required Training:
Certified NETA III or higherStrong understanding of NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Specifications, NFPA70B and Industry Codes & Standards.Training in OSHA Electrical Safety and NFPA70E safety guidelines.Current knowledge of NEC, NFPA-70E, Electrical Classifications, IEEE/ANSI and other applicable design standards and guidelines.
