Senior Data Architect (Remote)

Summary:You will play an architect role in designing cloud-based data warehouse solutions for the emerging DWS Software as a Service in the cloud. You will guide highly skilled data engineers for implementing, testing and deploying your design. You will be working closely with product managers, business users and external clients for converting their ideas into repeatable and flexible technical solutions. You must have strong experience designing cloud-native data pipelines and data stores. You must demonstrate hands-on experience with large scale data solutions and knowledge of event driven architecture. You should have a broad background in data warehouse development and business intelligence use cases. You must be able to provide examples of how you solved complex problems with innovative solutions that are repeatable and scalable Responsibilities:

• Develop data models within a cloud-based data warehouse solution. This includes analyzing client specific data needs, designing and implementing physical data models.
• Design efficient algorithms for data integration, transformation and quality check.
• Continuously improve the performance and scalability of data platform.
• Partner with business analysts to craft stories and develop work items to satisfy those stories.
• Work on an agile team to quickly iterate and release solutions.
• Provide technical advice and assist end-users in solving problems.
• Serve as a key subject matter expert and drive evolution of the cloud-based Data Warehouse Solutions.

• Minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science, MS or related degree and 10+ years of related experience.
• In depth knowledge of:
  • ANSI SQL
  • Snowflake
• Proficiency with data warehousing and modelling concepts:
  • Data Pipeline, ETL and ELT
  • Data Vault 2.0 and Dimensional Data Model
• Experience in the below is expected:
  • AWS or Azure cloud services
  • Relational and Columnar databases
  • Power BI or Tableau
  • Agile methodologies, Scrum and Kanban
  • CI/CD pipeline
• Financial terminology and an understanding of related concepts (Portfolio Management, Security Master, Risk, Compliance, Accounting).
• Experience with one or more of below is desirable:
  • Alteryx
  • Python
  • JavaScript
  • Confluence and Jira
  • ServiceNow
