Senior Backend Software Engineer

A fast-growing marketing intelligence firm in the Loop is currently looking to add a few Python engineers to their team (Senior preferred). The role would involve the design and development of the organization's core marketing platform that is used by retailers nationwide. The role is looking for someone who feels confident in their computer science fundamentals, data acquisition and manipulation, as well as someone who feels comfortable working in a cloud environment. The company is going through major growth right now so paves the way for someone to come in and move up within the company quickly. Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of Python programming experience
• 2+ years working in a microservices environment
• RESTful API development
• DevOps tools like Docker and Jenkins
• AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals
• Bachelors Degree (STEM preferred)

• Flask, Fast API, Starlette, or Async.io
• Familiarity with data acquisition/manipulation
• Experience working on a distributed architecture
• Experience with various ETL tools like Spark and Airflow
