Addus HomeCare (Lewiston Branch) is seeking Direct Care Staff to join our team! We are seeking individuals interested in working overnight and/or daytime shifts.

Our Residential Habilitation/Supported Living program enables adults of all ages with developmental disabilities to live in their own homes while receiving up to 24-hour supports and services. The right candidate will be responsible for providing compassionate care and assistance to a person with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job Responsibilities

Provide supervision and guidance for participants during skill-building activities.

Develop a rapport with participants and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship.

Maintain the health and safety of the participants while attending to their needs.

Ensure a smooth transition of procedures and objectives from one shift to another.

Follow treatment plans for participants created by a supervisor.

Assist with daily living activities, preparing meals, assisting with personal hygiene, and etc.

Update participant activity logs on a daily basis.

Become familiar with formal programs and data collection systems.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

18 years or older.

High-school diploma or GED required.

Valid Driver’s License.

Proof of car insurance.

Reliable transportation with 2 or more seats other than the driver.

No previous criminal record/must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire.

Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid upon hire.

Ability to obtain Assistants with Medication Certification upon hire.
