Candidates must be able to work in a cooperative spirit along with an existing group of dynamic staff members. We are looking for candidates who, in addition to having experience with upscale dining, are committed to customer service and gracious hospitality.

Job Descriptions

BANQUET SERVER

Essential Functions

Provide exceptional guest service to all customers.

Greet guests and be responsible for accommodating all guests’ needs at each event.

Participate in good communication skills with guests.

Deliver food and beverages from staging areas to guests.

Must be able to carry 10 capped entrées on an oval tray.

Assist other servers when possible.

Learn buffet, plated, and reception style meal services and standards.

Anticipate guest’s needs and monitor the guests dining experience to ensure satisfaction with food and service.

Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.

Setup, execution, and clean-up for an event.

Performs side work to prepare for upcoming events.

Maintain clean service areas at all times.

Maintain a professional and personable appearance.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Set-up the event space including tables, chairs, linens, and buffet.

Respond to customer questions and requests.

Break-down the event space.

Adapt to last minute changes.

Requirements

Knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, fine dining and catering service standards.

Must enjoy actively looking for opportunities to exceed guest expectations.

Capable of maintaining a personable and pleasant demeanor with guests under any circumstance.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pound and capable of completing room sets and turns, and tear down to specification.

Self-motivated during slower periods in order to maintain organization and cleanliness.

BANQUET CAPTAIN

Requirements

Supervising staff to ensure timely and accurate room set up of food and beverage service per banquet order specifications.

Ensure that presentation of all food and beverage is in accordance with banquet order.

Greeting event contacts upon arrival; retain a visible presence throughout the event; resolve guest conflict and answer questions to customer’s satisfaction. Immediately contact supervisor and/or management with any unsolved issues during the event.

Training banquet staff in proper set up, serving, and clean up procedures.

Enforcing uniform and dress code standards.

Overseeing the activities of the banquet staff to ensure accurate and timely banquet service.

Conducting on site banquet event order meetings prior to each event.

Maintaining strict control over all company owned equipment. Cleaning and storing all equipment in a secure manner.

Communicating any maintenance issues to the management including banquet equipment repair or safety issues.

Delegating to staff all cleaning of Banquet area throughout event.

Performing all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives.

At all times projecting a favorable image of the company to the public.

1-2 years banquet captain experience preferred.

Requirements

Knowledge in catering service standards and eager to learn where lacking.

Excels at monitoring waitstaff while coordinating duties and directing them with efficiency.

Capable of engaging with guests and group contacts in order to exceed expectations

Detail oriented and capable of following banquet event orders and room set guidelines per exact specifications.

Able to shift gears in slower periods in order to maintain cleaning standards.

WAGE: $14-$16 hour
