What does an SAP Application Development Analyst or Senior Analyst do for us?Analyst: Under general supervision, provides moderately complex analysis, design, development and ongoing support for the implementation of short and long term I.T. solutions to facilitate business process needs through new and existing applications.

Often involved in developing new and modifying or adapting existing designs and minor interfaces and/or integrations for in-house development or 3rd party software.

Participates in moderately complex incident/problem analysis, solution development, action planning, implementation coordination, and evaluation.

Determines I.T. requirements business processes, codes, tests, debugs, and coordinates the implementation of moderately complex software solutions.

Roles are sometimes project based, delivering IT change within the business. Senior Analyst:Under broad direction, is a senior technologist position that provides in-depth analysis, design, development and ongoing support for the implementation of short and long term I.T. solutions to facilitate business process needs through new and existing applications.

Applies technology as necessary in the solution of complex business problems by developing detailed systems analysis and design for in-house development or 3rd party software integrations.

Participates in complex incident/problem analysis, solution development, action planning, implementation coordination and evaluation.

Determines I.T. requirements and business processes, codes, tests, debugs, and coordinates the implementation of complex software solutions.

Roles are often project based, delivering IT changes within the business. Serves as technical expert and/or technical project lead/manager. May direct the work of other developers. REQUIRED SKILLS

Analyst:

Knowledge of:
  • Intermediate computer programming concepts, relational databases, programming languages, and system design

Skills in:
  • Proven oral and written communication, programming language and applications as needed for the position, and customer-service oriented skills

Ability to:
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, be a self-starter, and ability to learn new technologies

Senior Analyst:

Knowledge of:
  • Strong computer programming concepts, relational databases, programming languages, and system design

Skills in:
  • Strong oral and written communication, programming language and applications as needed for the position, and customer-service oriented skills

Ability to:
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, be a self-starter, and ability to learn new technologies

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Analyst:

Education:
  • BS in related field or equivalent information technology experience

Experience:
  • 2 years of directly related information technology experience

Senior Analyst:

Education:
  • BS in related field or equivalent information technology experience

Experience:
  • 5 years of demonstrated professional information technology experience in key functional areas

Preferred Experience:
  • SAP ABAP programming experience
  • System knowledge of SAP ECC, CRM, BW, and PI
  • Experience in design and developing APIs
  • Knowledge of SAP Workflow
  • Experience and knowledge of SAP technologies / frameworks like Fiori, oData, HANA

Licenses & Certifications
  • Project Management and/or programming language certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people.
