SummaryPosition requires a DoD Top Secret ClearanceRelocation available for out of state personal.HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Help Desk Specialist to support internal and external customers by following proper knowledgebase articles to troubleshoot system hardware, software network and communication problems to resolve incidents in a timely manner and escalate incidents as needed. Responsible for responding to queries on the phone, via email, in person, or through remote access. Provide technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, set-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware, and software. #LI-MJ1 CI TE MVWhat you will do- Provides technical support for computers and associated networks. Installs, troubleshoots, services, and repairs personal computers, network equipment such as servers, modems, multiplexers, related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectors.
- Provides personal computer, hardware, and software support.
- Installs, services, and repairs personal computers and installs attendant software.
- Connects personal computers and terminals to existing data networks.
- Maintains network diagrams and circuit records. Maintains trouble logs.
- Instructs users in the use of personal computers and networks. Investigates information, network, and communications needs of users, and makes recommendations regarding software and hardware purchases.
- Performs basic PC, PBX, and network software programming.
- Must have an Associate's Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 6 years related experience or High School Diploma/Equivalent and 8 years related experience.
- Must have experience working in a technical support position troubleshooting hardware, software and network connectivity issues.
- Must be will to work cooperatively in a team environment with other support groups via phone calls, email, and messaging chat tools.
- Must have knowledge, skills, and abilities in some or all of the following; Computer operations background, computer hardware, software, networking and troubleshooting knowledge, verifying data transmission and data analysis.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills to support communication with callers or users, including but not limited to: phone, email, in-person, and other communication formats.
