Just look up.Are you ready to go beyond?Candidate will perform the work necessary to disassemble, inspect, repair, assemble, and test (as required) Pratt & Whitney F119-PW-100 gas turbine engines and associated new technologies. Ideal candidates work in a team environment with Field Service Representatives, Engine Managers, Parts Liaisons, Engineering, and our customers to provide world class maintenance and support. Refer difficulties to lead or supervisor.This job is located at Hickam Air force Base in Honolulu, Hawaii.Obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits or certifications as required. Perform additional tasks in support of business objectives and/or to develop the individuals' skills. Handle process related waste in accordance with approved documented work instructionsTypical duties will include:Perform full and intermediate level maintenance and repair on engines, modules and components.Provide training and mentoring in order to develop other technicians.Perform routine maintenance of support equipment.Local support for investigations and process improvement activity, management of process related waste in accordance with approved work instructions, and additional tasks in support of business objectives.Education/CertificationsHigh school graduate or equivalent. Associates DegreeExperience/Qualifications:Ideal candidate will have experience in the disassembly, inspection, and assembly of gas turbine engines. Borescope certification, familiarity with flight line maintenance operations, knowledge of non-powered Aerospace Ground Equipment, and a proven ability to use and interpret electronic technical manuals. You must also be able to work atop maintenance platforms, ascend/descend maintenance stands, and lift 25 pounds to a height of 4 feet. You should able to use computers and have proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ideal candidates should be detail oriented and have a high level of attention to work being performed. Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced team environment with changing/multiple priorities, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and work independently. Must be willing and able to train and develop other team members. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.Location: Honolulu, Hawaii at Hickam AFBBasic qualifications:5+ years of Jet Engine experience along with tear-down and build up.3+ years of F119-PW-100 experience or F135 (5th generation engine).Candidate must have experience performing IPI, borescopes & blade blending.Must be able to work from process operation procedures and engineering drawing specification.Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer controls.Be able to use fixed or variable measuring instruments to check dimensions. Preferred qualifications:3+ year of air force maintenance systems experience.2+ years of IMIS/IMDS experienceFamiliarity with AFI 21-101 and 00-20-1/2/3Airframe & Power plant LicenseMinimum (4) year experience in the tear-down, build-up and inspection of jet engines.

Ability to lift heavy objects as required

Good interpersonal skills in dealing with others in diverse work environment.

Ability to interpret technical documentation for advanced propulsion systems.

This position requires an individual who is detail oriented. Accuracy in work performed is a must.

Must have a secret clearance, or the ability to acquire one within one year. Must maintain all required clearances and access.
