In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family, and other members of the health care team, theBirthing Center Registered Nurseis responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating a treatment plan and achieving the goals of the nursing department. You serve as a key position of the interdependent team, and hold responsibility for achieving positive patient and departmental outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

dentification of patient problems and determination of nursing interventions, to include biopsychosocial and educational needs.

· Recognition of changes in patients' conditions and initiation of appropriate action.

· Prompt assessment of patient upon return from PACU and/or diagnostic procedure and documentation of findings.

· Providing safe nursing care and a safe environment for patients/families.

· Making patient rounds.

· Establishing patient's plan of care based on medical/nursing diagnosis and admission profile.

· Initiates nursing orders for the comfort and well-being of the patient. (Ex: oral care, turning, positioning, etc.)

· Transcribes and implements physician orders and documents all patient-related information. · Administers medication accurately and safely within the guidelines

· Administers IV fluids accurately and safely within nursing guidelines.

Qualifications

What qualifications you may need:

· Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required

· Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license

· A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and (ACLS) Health Care Provider is required
