Line Support Technician II

Description Robert Half is looking for a Line Support Technician who can apply his / her technical support experience to support critical production systems in a manufacturing environment, and act as a point person for production issues. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting line-side control computers, as well as other technical equipment throughout the plant.This role is a long-term, multiyear contract employment opportunity with an exciting, technically progressive client based in the Timmonsville, SC, area. You will work with industry leading professionals for a fast paced, globally recognized company to help drive forward critical business initiatives.This role is SECOND SHIFT (3 pm - Midnight) and is fully onsite. It may require OT / weekend work to support critical issues or timelines.Your responsibilities:

Production Support 2nd Shift Activites

Respond to software/hardware related Help Desk calls.

Document call resolution information.

Assist with desktop lease replacements

Take production support calls over radio

Support of non standard equipment

Printer troubleshooting

Desktop support within plant floor and open office environment.

PC troubleshooting and support.

Other miscellaneous hardware.

Windows client replacements (lease replacements, upgrades)

Basic level one network support (client connectivity only)

Windows OS Support.

Requirements

Requirements:

Ability to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

A+ Certification or equivalent experience

Break / fix ability with PC / printers

Must be able to load software

Basic Windows client administration tasks (file security, system settings, etc)

Basic network support tasks (TCP/IP client settings, etc)

Strong troubleshooting ability on standard software packages.

Flexible to work OT/weekends when needed
