Position Summary The Associate Project Manager primary responsibility is to provide administrative support to the Sr. Project Manager/Scrum Master who provides support for the Software Engineering department. The department is divided into 5 teams, who design and implement features that modify our existing software products, as well as, design and implement features for products that do not yet exist. This position also supports communication/collaboration among the Project Team (Scrum Master, Product Owners, Developers, SQA, and Project Stakeholders) by adhering to existing Agile ceremonies and cadences. This position will become the PM s right hand in project-related tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Sr. Project Manager/Scrum Master to support the Software Engineering team.
  • Exhibit ability to work in a very fast paced environment; capable of managing multiple projects, shifting competing priorities, and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills; as well as, excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic with high attention to detail
  • Exhibit ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with all employees, vendors, and executive level clients
  • Exhibit ability to track multiple tasks and projects at one time and prioritize based on constantly evolving needs within the business
  • Focus on improving and facilitating workflow processes
  • Schedule project related and client meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, tracking action items, distributing them to appropriate team members, and proactively following up on action items
  • Work with Sr. Project Manager/Scrum Master to track execution of work plans, tracking deliverable dates, and sending reminders to team members as appropriate
  • Assist the Sr. Project Manager/Scrum Master in documenting design specifications for project requirements, using standardized templates
  • Develop and generate various operational and statistical reports and project metrics used in Executive Level presentations.
  • Assist the Sr. Project Manager/Scrum Master in maintaining project schedules.
  • Assist the Sr. Project Manager/Scrum Master in creating, updating, and storing Project templates
  • Update the Project Dashboard on a regular basis.
  • Gather and submit Document Lessons Learned and other activities during project Closing Phase.

Experience
  • 6 mos - 1 years of experience Agile Methodologies
  • 6 mos - 1 years of experience with MS Project (creating Gantt charts)
  • 6 mos - 1 years of experience with Visio
  • 6 mos - 1 years of experience Web Conference Setup (Skype, MS Teams)
  • 1 - 2 years proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Experience with SDLC

Education
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field and 1 year of related project management experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
  • Associate degree and one or two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
