ResponsibilitiesThe Regional Administrator is responsible for providing leadership, direction and ongoing administration and management for all aspects of the Medical Practices, including satellite locations, within designated service line. Responsible for strategic decision making, policy development, and policy implementation for employed physician practices and Prompt Care facilities. Serves as the coordinator in the utilization and report generation from the EPIC system. Helps to create and manage operating and capital budgets. Includes overall operational and financial management, as well as revenue generation and service line growth through the implementation of strategic plans. Works collaboratively to develop and implement strategic plans focused on the growth and development of Assistant Practice Managers and acts as Mentor to Practice Managers as needed. Acts as the liaison between employed Practice Physicians and Administration.This position is accountable for the operation’s performance (service, quality and financial). Ensures compliance with all state, federal and regulatory agencies.QualificationsEducationHigh School diploma or GED required. Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Health Management preferred.Licensure/CertificationCurrent, valid Certified Medical Office Manager preferred.ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED with ten (10) years management experience to include five (5) years of health care related management. Experience must include business plan development, strategic planning, financial management, or related occupational experience.Associates Degree with eight (8) years management experience to include five (5) years of health care related management. Experience must include business plan development, strategic planning, financial management or related occupational experience.Bachelors Degree with six (6) years management experience to include five (5) years of health care related management. Experience must include business plan development, strategic planning, financial management or related occupational experience.Knowledge, skills, abilitiesAdvanced knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws as they pertain to physician practice management preferred.Ability to understand and successfully maneuver through the complexities of revenue cycles, financial accounting and operations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrated by the ability to effectively present information to the executive team, physicians, and staff. Attention to detail in all communication including written and electronic forms.Demonstrated success in growing and developing an employed physician practice model within a health system. Experience working in physician-led, integrated healthcare delivery organization.Demonstrated success developing and implementing operational plans within a physician practice.Knowledge and experience in developing various compensation plans and incentives.Good analytical ability due to nature and complexity of problems encountered.Demonstrated current knowledge of health care trends and technologies. Ability to apply new concepts and ability to initiate change.Demonstrated ability to be self-directive and innovative in resolving complex healthcare and administrative problems.Demonstrated ability to work under stress and deal effectively with other working under stress.Demonstrated sufficient clinical knowledge to support a variety of clinical professionals/technicians and support personnel.Excellent leadership skills to manage individuals and teams, to delegate responsibility and to hold personnel accountable.Physical DemandsRequired to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Ability to problem-solve with a high level of mental acuity.
