Job Description

We aspire to build be the bestplatformfor testers, Developersand devops engineersthatelevate their work andenable them to accelerate theirapplicationdelivery. This is a highly visible and prestigiousrole responsible forestablishingand leading the team thatbuilds awareness andsupports Tricentis community.With the Shift-Left movement pushing more and more testing into development and growing adoption of test-first design,you will help make it easy for developers,devopsandtest engineersto benefit from Tricentis tools,expand channelsforour communitytoprovide feedback that informs our products and documentation,igniteand cultivate communities and inspire influencers to become raving fans. You will also focus on driving the adoption ofTricentisproducts and services across the globe.

TheGlobalHead of Developer Relationswill report into Chief Product Officer org andwill design and execute a plan to improve the developer experience with the Tricentis products, which will include highly technical content andmeetups, hackathons, and other events to promote the products and solutions to the developer and technical testercommunities.In addition, Tricentis fully embraces Open SourceSoftware(OSS) as acrucialpart of our product strategy. Our current initiatives includeFlood Element,SpecflowandTestProject. Thisrole willseek toexpand these communitiesand increase our presence and participation inotherOSScommunities.

Location: U.S. Based preference(Atlanta, GA / Mountainview, CA / or Remote U.S.)

The Developer Relations team will collaborate with several teams inside Tricentis:

  • Work with Product Management, UXand Engineering to bring feedback to make our products, services and documentation betterand alsosupport product releases with developer/devtester education collateral
  • Work with our Product Marketing organization to plan and help create engaging developer content for our blog, videos, social media, and other outlets
  • Work with our Education team to enhance our training

Qualifications

  • You are obsessed with making developers/devops/devtestershappy
  • You enjoy teaching,speakingand writing about cool new technologies
  • You are at ease engaging with other developers on and offline
  • You were a full-time developer in a previous life butnow live and breathe community
  • You have established your brand among developer/devops/testercommunities and have a proven track record withinspiringspeaking engagements and articles inblogs andtechnology publications (and you have videos/docs to provide it)
  • You have a high technical IQ and the ability to engage with developer communities in a credible way
  • You collaborate with teammates acrossthe entire portfolioto identify, define, and solve strategically important projects and initiatives.
  • You have the spirit of acommunityorganizer and you love to build, connect,inspireand engage
  • You are excited about participating in developer forums and support queues to help developers with coding problems
  • You have built and scaled developer relations, technicaladvocacyor community management functions in emerging and established global markets; your experience includesbuilding, growing and nurturing a team of 5-20 developers/developer advocates/technical evangelists
  • You are committed to proactively offering regular, constructive feedback to others
  • You have experience defining product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies
  • You use your creativity and passion to generate grass-roots attention,supportand adoption of developer-oriented productsfrom key industry opinion makers and technologists in multiple developer communities 
  • You have extensiveindustry contacts in IT/software markets

Success Measures 

  • In 3monthsyou will be fully versed in the Tricentis continuous testing platform and assess our current developer-oriented content across the entire portfolioand presence in relevant communities; you will prepare astrategicplan for building/igniting the dev/devtestercommunity

  • In 6monthsyou will build a small team of dev/devtesteradvocates andmake progress on your DevRel strategic plan,engaging various communities around the world

  • In 12monthsyou build a visible community of super fans who help us scale the DevRel team and expand the developers/devtestercommunities around the world
