The UX Design Manager is responsible for designing the end-to-end CBORD/Horizon product customer User Experience. The Manager owns the full UX process, user research, information architecture, prototyping and visual design for CBORD/Horizon. This position collaborates with product management, engineering leaders and our clients and external partners to deliver features that differentiate the CBORD/Horizon Software experience while delivering on business objectives.

What You ll be Doing

  • Collaborate with product management and engineering team to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering, including the creation of detailed user flows, conceptual diagrams, prototypes, product maps and wireframes
  • Conceptualize original ideas and solutions that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design challenges
  • Leverage deep insight around customer purchasing and shopping experiences within the CBORD/Horizon Software product industry a plus

What You ll Bring to the Table

  • 5+ years of industry experience preferred (preferably in an agile development environment)
  • Minimum of 2 years managing, and guiding design teams desired
  • Ability to successfully manage several large projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of continuously evolving UX design technologies, as well as industry standards to ensure leading-edge interpretation and execution of design applications
  • Strong skills in wire-framing as well as familiarity with front-end code and web/mobile-based environments and building UI component libraries
  • Strong technical skills for creating sophisticated, elegant designs for B2B and consumer-online platforms
  • Design portfolio experience including professionally designed interactions and visuals across web applications
  • Deep understanding and expertise in Progressive Web Applications (PWA) and Accelerated Mobile Pages (GOOGLE AMP), mobile, tablet and PC/Mac responsive design and methodologies
  • Experience with any of the following: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, Sketch
  • Understanding of SEO principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

What s Good to Know

  • Occasional travel, usually no more than 3-5 days per month
  • Occasional on-call/after-hours support expected
