Job Description

Manageday-to-day gateway operations.Assistthe manager with the pursuit of Warehouse Excellence by promoting a culture of Safety & Security. Meethigh quality standards through continuous improvement, ensuring the management of multiple product needs, people, process, and costs.

Qualifications

Education: College Degree preferred, or in lieu of, previous role of a Lead, Supervisor or Manager for over 1 year in a warehouse.

Experience:3 years working in gateway warehouse operations and has experience screening cargo or previous FSC/TSA experience. Shows leadership through behavior and actions, proven record of accomplishments.

Must be forklift certified on sit-down and stand up lifts.

Responsibilities:

Operations and Quality

  • Daily monitoring of Warehouse Workflow exception dashboards to ensure timely execution of gateway shipments to plan for screening, building and transfers to the airline.
  • Oversee the processes, following operational standards (OPS) and KPI expectations.
  • Responsible for TSA visits and audits
  • Responsible to ensure that we are following all processes of screening compliance and training.
  • Completes or delegates the EOS reports.
  • Prepares and conducts huddles.
  • Improve safety, quality, process and cost through continuous improvement methods.
  • Participate in transitioning new customers as needed.
  • Manage, prevent, and resolve inventory, over/short/damage, process and customer exceptions.
  • Perform process audits to ensure security and safety of people, facility, and freight.
  • Keeping the board updated with dock door and staff information.
  • Working on cargo loss issues, investigations, cctv.

Facility Compliance

  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment, following all OSHA rules, as well as state and local laws.
  • Maintain warehouse procedures and Expeditors Security & Safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and professional facility meeting all the warehouse excellence requirements.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe operational condition. Reporting and PO requests.
  • Manage inventory of packaging materials and supplies and request POs when applicable.
  • Adhere to all company, country compliance standards (ITAR, DG, Wood pallets, TSA, CFS etc.).

Labor/Development Management

  • Support the vision and goals as outline by the warehouse manager and communicate them in huddles, set the example for others.
  • Interview, onboard, develop, and support staff within area of responsibility, includes permanent and contingent staff.
  • Coordinate scheduling and ensure proper coverage.
  • Support employee versatility (cross training).
  • Ensure all employees are receiving monthly 1:1 and timely yearly reviews.
  • Abides by all Expeditors policies and procedures enforces it with the employee/contingent staff level.
  • Management and development of Leads and agents.
  • Support company, district and product goals.
  • Attending supervisor meetings within the branch as well as department meetings.
  • Teaching our culture mission and goals.
  • Must be able to lead and build a strong team.
  • Schedule labor to keep costs down, daily management of OT.

Reporting

  • Managing reports to support the warehouse operations, visibility and compliance of processes.
  • Report back to product operations on KPI management, exceptions and troubleshooting.

Shift:Tuesday- Saturday(8:00am - 5:00pm); Overtime required as needed.

Position Type: Exempt; Not eligible for overtime pay.

Uniform:Must wear company uniform.
