Dematic is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. You will accelerate innovation with design, development, testing, debugging, documentation, commissioning, training and support activities that build intelligent Distribution Center Order Fulfillment Software Solutions.

responsibilities:

Provides technical leadership for complex projects
Contributes to departmental standards and policies
Interacts with other Dematic disciplines, customers and 3rd parties to develop software solutions
Supports the development and delivery of key project documents
Responsible for software design and documentation for assigned projects
Participates in the software development process (Agile, Waterfall) from requirements thru delivery
Improves organizational capability through mentorship, lunch and learns, etc.
Contributes to product and process improvements via submittal of product enhancement requests and participation in company / departmental initiatives.

Leads integrated testing and is responsible for the overall quality of the project solution

Technical Knowledge You Possess

In-depth understanding of software design principals and best practices
Advanced practical experience with C programming
Experience delivering software systems in real-time environments
Proficiency in other programming languages
Extensive database design and programming experience
Knowledge and understanding of Linux operating systems
General knowledge of Web Services (SOAP, REST), Socket Programming
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and TestRail
Experience with version control (git and or Mercurial)
Experience with Product Owner role in Scrum Framework

Experience level: Manager
Minimum 8 years of experience
Education: Bachelors (required)
