KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Agile Coach to join our Digital Nexus technology organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Embrace servant leadership and display the behaviors that come with the key mindset shifts associated with agile methods; create and deliver workshops and training classes for new and existing teams that includes business stakeholders, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers, testers and other applicable roles on relevant topics
  • Evaluate/assess and mentor existing Scrum teams to improve agile maturity; provide coaching to teams on all aspects of Agile, with a strong focus on Scrum framework including working in a hands-on manner with the teams as well as in a consultant model, helping the teams leverage Agile and its events, roles and artifacts to reach greater success; work with Scrum Masters and teams to promote adaptability, help achieve self-organization and team accountability,how to identify and reduce technical debt
  • Develop, implement and manage team metrics, evaluate team metrics and make recommendations to teams and management for improvements; coach teams and management towards improving Agile adoption and metrics
  • Improve team collaboration and self-organization, guiding the teams to increase their transparency and effectively track their progress by leveraging burn-downs and other information radiators and facilitating effective and meaningful retrospectives, iteration and release-level meetings; partner to build the trust with Business Stakeholders and Sponsors by promoting Agile values and principles; promote and improve team level and organizational level tool adoption, automation and consistent usage
  • Partner with other Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters across the organization to help the Agile Center of Excellence with the organization-wide agile adoption strategy and rollout plans
  • Capture feedback and continuously improve enterprise Agile guidance, training materials and content; identify organizational impediments to successful Agile transformation and work with the leadership team to create effective strategies to overcome them; responsible for the growth of new and existing Scrum Masters; mentor and guide multiple teams and the overall organization including leadership / management on agile adoption; provide guidance and support for the teams to work effectively with shared services

Qualifications:

  • Minimum eight years of recent experience utilizing an agile framework (such as Scrum, Extreme Programming, Kanban, Lean, SAFe ) in software development, as well as in creating Agile training / workshop material
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience with independently transitioningteams to agile ways of working, coaching and mentoring teams on several Agile adoptions, coaching and mentoring individuals, large, small, remote and co-located agile teams across all levels within the organization including leadership, implementing scaling methods for programs and portfolios; as well as in implementing and using various agile tools to promote adoption
  • Ability to handle conflict resolution well, facilitating discussion and alternatives of different approaches with an enthusiastic and positive, high-energy attitude
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, collaboration, analytical and presentation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and team work; must be able to set goals and participate in strategic initiatives for a team; foster the development of high performance teams and interface with all levels of the organization; ability to participate in development of resource plans and structures and influence organizational priorities
