- The Lead Developer is an experienced (Java and/or C and/or C) Developer/Analyst with expertise in team leadership and collaboration.
- They are excellent communicators who will be involved in design and development tasks for web-based applications that integrate with our Partners’ payroll software.
- Operates with minimal supervision.
- Create and maintain project plans.
- Propose product improvements.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively to design and develop product changes.
- Create presentations for peers and management.
- Provide internal training in expertise areas.
- Participate in scalability and performance solutions.
- Performs duties under general directions from the Department Manager.
- Evaluates resource needs and makes recommendations to the Department Manager
- Participates in Performance Reviews of the Development staff
- Performs project-related activities to assure that project, departmental and corporate goals are met
- Maintains currency and the highest level of industry wide application knowledge to support the client's products
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the assigned Development group
- Maintains and supervises a highly trained staff
- Develop subordinates (i.e. train, motivate, mentor, monitor conduct and work performance, oversee disciplinary actions using established BSI procedures)
- Other responsibilities as may be assigned
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- This position is subject to a background check
- Sr Programmer/Analyst role or Lead experience
- Ability to write High-level Design and Detail Technical Specifications
- 7-9 years of software development experience including 5 years of C/C, Unix, SQL, Linux
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
