Senior Linux/DevOps Engineer

Senior Linux/DevOps Engineer IDR's largest client is seeking a Senior Linux/DevOps Engineer to join their team for a long-term and stable Contract opportunity! This individual will primarily focus on the automation and configuration management of Linux systems. Responsibilities for the Senior Linux/DevOps Engineer:

• Engineer, install, configure, and manage Linux environments
• Create, manage, and apply automation for deployment and configuration
• Keep up with current and trending Information Technology regarding systems, networks, and security
• Create and update SOP's, change and configuration management documentation

• 7+ years of experience in Information Technology
• 2+ years of DevOps experience
• Hands-on systems-level scripting experience (bash, perl, python, C, etc)
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Salt, etc)
• Strong background in Linux environment (RedHat preferred)
• Some networking experience with a focus on Cisco hardware is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
