  • The Help Desk Support Specialist is responsible for providing support and technical assistance to the company's employees, and will join the company's fast growing IT Department.
  • The Help Desk Support Specialist will be responsible for answering requests and addressing system and user issues in a timely and professional manner.

Client DetailsThe client is a national/international design-build contractor with a unique understanding of end-to-end fulfillment.

DescriptionThe main responsibilities are:

  • Monitor and respond promptly to incoming requests related to IT issues
  • Maintain ticket system with a clear record of activities for every incident reported to IT
  • Provide clear communication and guidance to users during incidents and throughout resolution of the issue(s)
  • Diagnosing system errors and other issues
  • Remotely accessing hardware or software for clients to make changes and fix problems
  • Setup, maintain and troubleshoot PCs and VoIP phone systems
  • Install and troubleshoot peripheral devices such as printers, scanners and mobile/smart phones
  • Maintain installed PCs, networks, telephone systems and peripherals with routine maintenance
  • Identify, log and resolve technical problems with software applications or network systems
  • Ensure that work is carried out within agreed service levels and in accordance with the IT Department Guidelines
  • Escalate issues as needed to ensure their prompt resolution
  • Ability to prioritize workflow independently
  • Follow all IT Department standards and checklists
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

ProfileThe main qualifications are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience (at least three years) preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with the following systems as an administrator is preferred:
  • Office 365
  • Azure admin experience
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012r2 to 2019
  • Windows 10 setup, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Microsoft certification in Windows 10, Office 365 or Azure, or other certifications is preferred
