JOB DESCRIPTION: Solutions Engineering Consultant

Job Description Summary As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of cloud-based customer solutions. This role is essential to developing deep, trusted relationships with clients at all levels, including executives, business owners and professionals translating technology capabilities into the appropriate business value. The person in this role will work with our client's top clients as a technical consultant on client implementations. Also responsible for engaging in pre-sales activities to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and ensure our client's capabilities fully and effectively leveraged. The Solution Engineer will work in partnership with one or more scrum teams; including Development and QA resources.

You are essential to developing deep, trusted relationships with clients at all levels, including executives, business owners and professionals translating technology capabilities into the appropriate business value You will work in partnership with one or more scrum teams; including Development and QA resources.

What You'll Do
  • Consulting with internal and/or external customers to understand their business problem, propose our client's products and services, document requirements and design the technology solution.
  • Responsible for the design, development and implementation of short and long-term solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems and application infrastructure. Often involved in modifying or adapting existing designs.
  • Reviews IT requirements and business processes and implements customer-centric solutions by partnering directly with Product Owners and technical delivery teams.
  • Responsible for consulting with clients and advising them how to integrate our client's products and services to solve their business problems, as well as identifying and implementing improvements to the clients existing business processes.
  • Manage ongoing relationships and the operational delivery of services to clients for an account or group of accounts as outlined within client contracts, serving as the point of contact to the client(s) regarding overall and day-to-day service delivery.
  • Perform change management activities, lead configuration management sales support, transactional research, and application troubleshooting.
  • Gather and document requirements to be used by internal developers, customer development teams, and internal quality assurance team.
  • Act as the partner liaison, creating and prioritizing the backlog, and providing acceptance of deliverables.
  • Utilize creative problem solving to craft solutions for unique and complex problems, typically requiring conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions.
  • Develop and deliver customized-solution presentations and demonstrations while building trust with the customer and ability to meet the business requirements.
  • Explain technical issues to a variety of audiences, including enterprise clients and experienced software developers/architects.
  • Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels, to embrace a different point of view.
  • Assist with and conduct requirements discovery sessions with customers. Discover ways to improve internal processes and increase efficiency.
  • Championing strategic process improvement initiatives
  • Travel: 10% travel to various locations across the United States, is required.

Qualifications
  • You've attained a Bachelor's degree, or higher level education.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in customer facing/consulting role supporting enterprise clients and proposing solutions as you work through customer pain points and changes.
  • Proficient in designing business solutions around cloud and/or API technologies.
  • Strong background in IT, Project Management, Business Analysis, or Product Owner experience.
  • Strong SQL querying experience, with the ability to execute simple and complex queries to provide reports around customer data.
  • Passion for technology, and business opportunities that it presents, with the ability to comprehend both technical and business topics to recommend options and solutions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in a variety of styles including business requirements, marketing, and legal.
  • Experience delivering technology based solutions and understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • Technical aptitude for technology applications with a functional knowledge of hardware and software components/capabilities.
  • Deep experience in managing high profile customer accounts.
  • Coordination of end-to-end requirements and implementation needs of the partner.
  • Proficient in developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders as a trusted advisor throughout project lifecycle.
  • Cloud computing knowledge, Certified GCP or AWS Cloud Practitioner.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with credit.
  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience and/or education.
