Rebar Department Manager

Here we GROW again. We are a multi location rebar and structural steel fabricator located in South Florida. We are looking for management talent to bring our rebar department to the next level of superior customer service. Responsible for overseeing the execution of projects from the set-up phase through completion.

Communicate directly with detailers, contractors, field personnel and fabrication crews as needed to maintain on time delivery profile for all rebar jobs.

Assist the customer & project team in moving jobs through sequential steps to complete jobs

Must be very organized and detail orientated ! This is production and scheduling intensive work.

Responsible for reviewing rebar shop drawings and directing the revision of drawings as needed.

Communicate with customer regarding project details involving detailing, fabrication and delivery issues.

Answer customer questions related to assigned projects and resolve any problems that may occur.

Perform special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the support of the organization.

Continuously develop improvements in work flows, processes and associates in your department.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

-Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Construction Management, Building Products Distribution or related degree and/or equivalent work experience.

-Experience in production and fabrication of rebar for residential, commercial and infrastructure projects.

-Ability to read & understand structural & architectural drawings.

-Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

-Basic knowledge of aSa, Shear 97, RebarCad.

-Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in fast-paced environment.
