Animal Care Technician / Kennel Technician (vero beach)

We are seeking an able-bodied, compassionate, highly motivated individual who values exceptional client service in addition to outstanding animal care to join our team for our growing boarding, grooming, and daycare facility in Vero Beach. You should possess strong communication and teamwork skills and be able to multi-task with consistent attention to detail.

Experience working as a boarding assistant is preferred. Must possess proper animal handling and restraint skills as well as basic computer skills. Responsible for the care and comfort of the pets in our facility. Duties include providing food/water, exercise and administering medications. Other duties include client service, laundry and cleaning.

Applicants must have availability for flexible full time scheduling. Must have own car and be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Job Description:

General Cleaning of floors, dog rooms, yard, Etc.

Monitoring group play & following safety protocols.

Knowledge of Dog Breeds

Able to remember dogs names & traits

Follow all policy and procedures for all areas.

Assist other employees to create a helpful team environment

Bathing dogs if needed

Job Qualifications:

MUST LOVE DOGS!

Animal Care, Kennel or Veterinary Experience

Additional information:

The job requires bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 30 pounds, as necessary) and standing for long periods of time. The job requires groomer spending time with our clientele to get to know of the pet's needs and client's desires on how to groom their pet. The work environment may be noisy and wet. Groomer must be tolerant and willing to deal with all types of pet's skin conditions.
