job summary:

This position will be an Application Software Engineer (Business Intelligence) for QDH (Quality Data Hub) a new centralized repository of HEDIS/STARs related data. This role will focus on the development, delivery and maintenance of reports, dashboards, scorecards, and analytic applications. The role should be able to create and script views, connect to data sources, perform product analysis, create wireframes/prototypes, develop and maintain complex BI solutions in a fast paced environment. This position will work with product ownership, end users, scrum teams, and other developers. Our toolset is based on Snowflake and Power BI, but there will be need to review Teradata and SQL Server databases as well.

responsibilities:

Position Purpose: Design, build, test and maintain scalable and stable off the shelf application or custom built technology solutions to meet business needs. Act as a subject matter expert for Application Software developers and Engineers.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience. 3+ years of related experience. Healthcare experience strongly preferred, requires demonstrated understanding of business process as it relates to experience in the field. Experience with SQL. Advanced working knowledge of Business Intelligence Tools, including: MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Cognos or SAS. Experience with UNIX and ETL. Experience with various databases, including: Teradata, Oracle or SQL Server preferred
