Sr. Systems Admin. Job w/ Excellent Benefits, Generous Amount of Vacation & Work/Life BalanceOur client is looking for your exceptional technical and analytical skills in the design, installation and support of the company’s UNIX (Solaris), Linux and IBM iSeries system platforms (you only need experience in one of these three areas). Work involves hardware and software installations, operating systems and applications upgrades, problem identification and solution support and participation in topology design. Job: Senior Systems Administrator

Full Time / Direct Hire Opening (both on-site and off-site)

Anticipated Start: December 2020 St. Petersburg, which glimmers between the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay, is known for its warm weather and for holding the title of “most consecutive days with sunshine” at 768 days! Downtown St. Petersburg is the city’s heart, home to great shopping, restaurants, bars and attractions.

Requirements:
  • Experience in mid-range (or larger) computer systems, technical administration and support.
  • Have professional work experience with the UNIX (Solaris) or Linux or IBM iSeries system platforms (you only need experience in one of these three areas)
  • Skilled in the use of the full Microsoft Office 365 Suite and Windows operating system.
  • Plan, schedule and perform work to meet deadlines and organization goals and work efficiently and effectively with different technology teams.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery technology exercises and real emergency events.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Prefer knowledge and experience with Linux (Red Hat or Centos preferred).
  • Weblogic and/or Apache experience is a strong plus
  • Prefer knowledge of ZFS volume management (Zpool commands, ZFS commands) and Shell scripting (Bash, Bourne, Korn).
  • Prefer knowledge and experience with Oracle server hardware configuration and monitoring.
  • Prefer knowledge of Oracle service request creation and Explorer output files.
  • Prefer experience with IBM iSeries hardware configuration and monitoring.
  • Professional work experience with Digital Certificates.
  • Have some experience with secure file transfers, FTP/SFTP scripting, SSH, Network Shares.
  • 2 year or 4 year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field is preferred. Degree not a must and will consider equivalent related experience.
