Horticulture Technician (Plant Exp Required)

ARE YOU READY TO WORK WITH PLANTS EVERYDAY?We are currently hiring a horticulture technician.Qualified applicantsmust havea year or more of horticultural experience, either educationally, or as a serious hobby or direct work experience. Ideal candidates may have worked as a landscaper, gardener or in a garden center, plant nursery or interiorscape company.The ideal candidate will have:Strong work ethicExcellent organizational skills/priority managementCommunication skillsExcellent customer service skillsPassion for plants and horticulturePlant knowledge (familiarity with the plant species under your care)Flexibility and the ability to switch gears when neededResourcefulness, creativity, and ability to anticipate the next stepA strong eye for detailsThe ability to work outside year roundThe ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry. Physical lifting will be required at times of landscape plants and related job material. You will spend at least 3/4 of the day walking/standing. You will regularly climb ladders and carry up to 50 pounds. You must be in good physical health.A CLEAN Florida Driver’s License (No DUI/Suspensions)Duties will include:Serving as the face of Plant Parents and direct client contact when visiting accounts.Maintain commercial and residential planted areas by following Plant Parent’s 14 steps of service.Follow Integrated Pest Management (IPM) protocols when managing pest and diseases on the plants under your care.
