Per Diem Mental Health Worker I Nights

Position Summary:Plans and provides activities for patients conducive to recovery. Encourages patient responsibility in social, recreational, and leisure activities in a safe, clean, controlled environment.Establishes a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients and helps patients with daily living. Responsible for the overall maintenance of a therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit. Takes vital signs, weighs patients and collects routine specimens. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of related experience. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.Qualifications:Years of Related Experience:Minimum: 2-4

Preferred: 5-8

Licensure/Certification/Education (Required):American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

Education 1: High School Graduate/Equivalent

Crisis Prevention/Intervention Training Certification (CPI) (within 90 days of hire date)
