Email Me Similar JobsEmail Me This JobSummit Design and Engineering Services is seeking a CEI Contract Support Specialist (CSS) for Construction Engineering and Inspections. The candidate should possess detailed understanding FDOT contract documents and CEI consultant processes and procedures. The primary focus is the management of FDOT and local government agency construction contracts for transportation projects, including but not limited to roadways, highways, bridges, and other structures. Responsibilities: Read and Interpret contract plans, specifications, shop drawings, permits, and other contract documents

Exercise independent judgment in planning work details and making technical decisions related to the office aspects of the project.

Report and calculate pay quantities for preparation of monthly progress estimates

Prepare documentation required for Progress and Final Estimates as well as assist the Project Administrator in preparation and submittal of Supplemental Agreements, Project Status Reports, Change Orders, EEO/DBE compliance documentation and resolution of failing tests for materials acceptance

Maintain project documentation in EDMS and Project Solve.

Organize, communicate, collaborate with, provide input and assistance to other team members

Coordinate and collaborate with contractors and the Clients as requested, and maintain document control for correspondence, RFIs, submittals, final estimates, progress estimates, per scope of work requirements.

Perform other duties to support the success of projects

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A High School diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of road & bridge construction engineering inspection experience having performed/assisted in project related duties (i.e., Materials Acceptance and Certification (MAC) System, progress, and final estimates, EEO compliance, processing Construction Contract changes, etc.) or a Civil Engineering Degree.

CTQP Final Estimates Level II

Extensive knowledge of FDOT Final estimates requirements and ability to stay current on latest requirements and updates

Ability to perform mathematical calculations

Proficient in the use of iPad, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Dropbox, SiteManager, MAC and/or OneDrive, ProjectSolve and other FDOT systems

Must possess strong interpersonal, coordination and communication skills

Must be able to walk over rough and uneven terrain and be able to stand as needed

Valid Driver's license with good driving record and ability to drive
