job detailsProviding engineering/technical, managerial, and business development support to the Vice President of Construction Defect Services, you will put your winning combination of analytical and procedural skills together into a highly valued role for the organization’s continued growth and success. With significant forensic engineering investigations experience behind you, it is now time to take the next step up: taking the lead on your own projects, developing your own client relationships, mentoring younger talent, all while, of course, answering to daily project and client needs, testifying when needed, supporting the vice president’s workload and serving as an in-house engineering resource company wide. Position covers Central Florida!salary: $70,000 - $95,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: BachelorResponsibilitiesInvestigate an array of engineering and construction projects (civil/structural) to determine the cause & origin of failures, damages, incomplete work and/or defects — must be “hands-on” and willing to climb roofs, crawl in tight spaces, etc.Document existing site conditions using scaled sketches and/or diagrams, measurements, collection of written and photographic evidence, etc.Research a variety of technical issues using codes, standards, technical papers, textbooks, Internet, etc.Analyze available data, develop conclusions, and prepare accurate, clear and concise investigative reportsDevelop technical project proposals, presentations and detailed budgetsProvide expert testimony and/or depositions as neededPrepare exhibits and provide other litigation support as neededParticipate in on-going training and development to assure knowledge and skills remain current and comprehensiveThe essential functions of this role include:working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

standing for 4 hours at one time

working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
