Job Description: Apex Systems, the nation's 2nd largest Information Technology staffing solutions and consulting services company, has an opportunity for a Desktop Support Technician. This is a 3 month contract position located in Orlando, FL.

Job Description: Providing client support and system monitoring; Performing backups and prepares backup tapes for storage and conduct and monitor computer processing, Conducting backups, provide technical support to clients by responding to emails, answering phone calls and fulfilling report requests; Monitoring the status of equipment such as; PCs, printers; Performing file transfers Perform project work when required; and, Troubleshooting issues to a resolution.

Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:

Scrubbing data, destruction of hard drives, office 365, Microsoft teams, jabber, adobe products, ServiceNow, Microsoft tablets, equipment shipping. They are a break/fix team; do application support, hardware troubleshooting, providing solutions for tickets.

  • 3-5 Years of experience
  • SCCM
  • Switches/routers - tier 2 support
NICE TO HAVES (OR WHAT GETS THE WIN)?
  • Financial Industry Experience
  • Needs to be a Team fit (Soft skills over technical experience)

Technical Environment:
  • Windows 10/11
  • Imaging
  • SCCM software deployment
  • Hardware- memory, hard drive
  • Hard drive wiping/destruction
  • MS Office 365
  • MS Teams
  • Adobe project
  • Financial support preferred but not a must
  • Dell Laptops/Wyse terminal
  • Service Now ticketing system- incidents/requests
