Database Developer - Urgent Need (Entry-Level)

Cogent Data Solutions LLC (CDS) has an opportunity for a Database Developer to join our Team. This role is comprised of database development, database optimization, query optimization, developer support, reporting, and data warehousing.

• Provide for the design, testing, implementation, and maintenance of database tables, functions, and procedures
• Provide query development support for Middle Tier Java developers
• Monitoring of database and application response times
• Integration of systems and/or interfaces into the application architecture through database design
• Coordinate administrative tasks, as well as support process improvement activities
• Work in a dynamic environment with talented team members to deliver quality software capabilities

• Ability to assess and understand the system and functional requirements
• Ability to understand QA processes and follow QA process guidelines
• Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written

• 0-1 year of related experience

• Oracle Database
• Oracle SQL/PLSQL
• Experience with or functional knowledge of three-tiered architecture: Front-End (webserver), Middle Tier (application server), Back-End (database server)
• Unix/Linux Operating System
• Dell Toad DBA Suite for Oracle
• Shell Scripting
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other computer-related degree/experience)
