Maintenance Technician: START ASAP

JOB DUTIES:This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing production/manufacturing equipment (labelers, ink jet coders, packing equipment, filling machines, compressors, conveyors, palletizers, depalletizers, motors, etc).Techs will inspect equipment for proper functioning and will perform preventative maintenance duties per manufactures specification.Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes more complicated repairs or adjustments as needed.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Candidates will have both mechanical and electrical skills and knowledge in electrical/electronics (PLCs, A/C and D/C motors and drives, control logic, schematics, and troubleshooting).Must be able to read electrical schematics and blueprints.SHIFT:Shift for maintenance will be a rotating 12 hr shift. The shift is 6pm-6:15am. They will work 2 on 2 off 3 on 3 off.They use tenure to decide who has the option to move to the day shift. With this shift one week they would work 48 hours and the next they would work 36 hours.During peak seasons (summer and hurricanes) they can work up to 20 hours of OT.Candidates must wear pants, close toe shoes (with a non slip bottom), and a t shirt. No jewelry is allowed in the plant outside.BENEFITS:This is a family owned business and because of this they are able to be more flexible than most corporate companies. Hot during the summer months and cold during the winter. The maintenance team consists of 12 techs and 2 supervisors.
