RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Systems Engineering - UNIX Senior Engineer Systems in Miramar, FL.
Overview:The Unix Senior Engineer will work closely with, the Unix Lead Engineer, our Businesses and Partners, while drawing on years of engineering experience, in-depth Unix knowledge, and technical skills to ensure the deliverables are of the highest caliber capable of exceeding client satisfaction. This person must have expertise to identify, develop, and implement measures that transform and evolve the enterprise with innovative Unix solutions thereby changing the status quo.The Unix Senior Engineer contributions will maintain or improve resource elasticity, provisioning, be broadly accessible, serve multiple businesses, and be measurable resulting in increased efficiency and effectiveness. The Unix Senior Engineer must be able to lead and guide Unix services, supporting systems, Unix components, relationships between Unix components and other environments, values and attributes of Unix infrastructure, and governance of the Unix environment.Duties: Work with the Lead Unix Engineer to analyze requirements to ensure design, develop, integrate and deployment of Unix systems Manage and maintain automation platforms such as Puppet and Ansible to aid in the automation of deployment into virtual environments Manage and maintain monitoring, management and reporting services Support business initiatives, business leaders, and partners to ensure policies and processes are followed Manage and Integrate tools and services for proper Unix environment stability and functionality Follow or suggest solutions supporting the use cases of established life cycle management standards Support and maintain integration, end-to-end, designs, standards, processes, practices, and tools supporting the Unix infrastructure Clear of understanding customer requirements and enterprise standardsREQUIREMENTS: Post-secondary degree or equivalent demonstrable experience required Minimum of 5 years or equivalent experience with Unix systems knowledgeDesired Skills: Demonstrates experience implementing Unix technologies across varied infrastructuresKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
