If interested in applying, please apply here or send an updated resume to David Pugh at Job Description: Position Summary: We are looking for a very strong and seasoned "Modern" Data Architect with the ability to understand, create and deliver Data solutions. The Data Architect works closely with counterparts in the business to execute the enterprise data strategy, enforce data governance, design of data models, and reporting framework and tools enablement. They are also accountable for the standards and ongoing health of the data /information architecture . This is not a pure theoretical and design only architect role and will require the candidate to have the ability to build out the solution if required. Responsibilities Primary Duties:

  • Evaluates needs for new or changed Data /Information Architecture solutions AND capable of implementing technical solutions as needed
  • Theoretical data architecture with the ability to build the designs /schemas into practical Proof-of-concepts, pilots, etc
  • Ensures to-be data architectures meet the needs of all the functional business areas
  • Determines the effectiveness of data architecture designs , assists with implementation /migration plans, and recommends new solutions as required
  • Identifies risk (e.g., cost, maintenance, availability, performance, reliability, integrity) of proposed data solutions/technologies and recommends appropriate mitations
  • Sets architectural direction aligned with IT strategy in assigned area ( Data ); guides others
  • Conducts market research and assesses the business value and performance of data solutions against capability needs
  • Participates in the data governance framework including processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of data to assure accuracy and validity
  • Develops Enterprise standards and reusable patterns that reduce time to market, risks and costs
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
  • 10 + years of experience conducting business facing data architecture design
Formal Education & Certification
  • Degree preferred or multiple certifications
Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced expertise across multiple areas / technologies
  • Extensive practical experience of architecting enterprise class business critical solutions involving data
  • A broad, enterprise-wide view of business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
  • Experience with business, technical specific requirement analysis, business process modelling and mapping
  • The ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions
  • The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings, and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues
  • Has extensive design and development experience of Azure , e.g. Logic Apps/ API Management/ Service Bus , Azure AD, Azure Resource Manager, iPaaS . IaaS , Data Factory , Data Streaming , Data Lakes, Analytics (recommended)
  • Built ETL/ELT processes along with experience in reviewing, providing guidance on enhacements, etc
  • Technically adept in multiple areas, including .NET / C# , Node.js, PowerShell , REST / SOAP , Swagger, JSON, WSDL, XML etc.
  • Expertise in the architectural design , and implementation of design patterns including Middleware , Bulk Data , Real-Time Data , File Based, Cloud , Process Integrations, and Event Processing
  • Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
  • Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
  • Strong experience in CI / CD using Azure DevOps or similar tooling preferred
  • Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities

Physical Requirements: Requires the ability to work in excess of eight hours per day in the confined quarters of an office. Also requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle, climb stairs, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry items that are less than 50 pounds. Finger dexterity required in operating a computer keyboard and a calculator. Office work requires sitting at a computer monitor for extended periods of time.
