Head of Hotels Research and Data Analytics - Research DirectorAtlanta, Georgia, United StatesNew8 additional locationsHouston, Texas, United StatesUnited StatesWashington, District of Columbia, United StatesNew York, New York, United StatesChicago, Illinois, United StatesBoston, Massachusetts, United StatesMiami, Florida, United StatesDallas, Texas, United StatesResearchRequisition # 20026877Post Date 2 hours agoThe Head of Hotels Research and Data Analytics is a role that focuses on three distinct components of our research platform, all at the service of our Hotels real estate business.The first priority area is to ensure that CBRE is the preeminent thought leader in hotels real estate, including forecasting hotel industry performance and trends as well as deeply covering the current market state.A second is to ensure that the Research department provides support to hotels brokerage teams at the point of sale. This means being proactive and responsive to broker request for data and assistance in the pursuit and execution of fee generating activityThe third is related to data collection and sales. This role oversees the development of and improvements in CBRE’s hotels data collection and helps to drive revenue generated from the sales of data products and forecasts.The role will suit someone with the ability and ambition to move from an established internal authority to a client-facing profile, while still maintaining a data science mindset.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with hotels business leaders within CBRE to ensure brokers have the support they need to drive revenue and the business has the publicity it needs in the marketplace

Drive revenue from data sales and forecast within the CBRE Econometric Advisers platform and work collaboratively with the EA team

Develop innovative points of view for the business and incorporate findings into presentations and white papers

Develop deep relationships with key hotel clients about market conditions and present at conferences about the state of the hotel market

Become a key point of differentiation in CBRE digital strategy by developing analytical approaches that are information/data-based

QualificationsExcellent presentation skills

Strong leadership and influencing skills

Solid understanding of commercial real estate, particularly hotels

Prior experience in a Research related function is highly preferred

Knowledge of data management and analytics with some familiarity with data science techniques
