DevOps - Cloud Architect

Work you'll do

The position will be focused on supporting Deloitte GPS (Government and Public Services) Federal practice in application development, infrastructure, solutions development, client projects as well as pursuits.
  • Strong designing and transferring applications to the cloud experience
  • In addition to hands-on technical work, this position will also require assisting project teams with planning, developing documentation, and guidance for system and environment improvements

Qualifications

Required:
  • Active U.S. government Top Security/Special Compartmental Information Clearance, or the ability to obtain these US government security clearances
  • Bachelor's Degree (Software/Computer Technology Field Preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in developing customized solutions on the cloud platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements and company goals
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Experience in cloud architecture and implementation features (Operating Systems, scalability, multi-tenancy, orchestration, virtualization)
  • Must have experience in application development and programming languages (like C, C#, .Net Java,) including scripting /coding (like Python, JavaScript, HTML etc,.), SQL and NoSQL and relational databases
  • Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services
  • Knowledge of all components (e.g., cloud security, cloud infrastructure and networking) of technical architecture on cloud
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred:
  • Architect certification on any cloud providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Developing templates or scripts to automate everyday developer or operations functions
  • Experience implementing systems or minimum knowledge using the Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Technical proficiency including systems maintenance, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, monitoring, performance measurements, change management as well as issue management in a multi-platform environment
  • Collaborate with business application owners to advance development of key market tools
  • Interact directly with clients, managers and end users as necessary to analyze project objectives and capability requirements, including specifications for user interfaces, customized applications and interactions with internal cloud architect instances
  • Knowledge of federal industry and developing processes and presentation material for federal and public sector related initiatives and special projects
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior consulting experience working on virtual teams and ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Ability to work with peers, clients and engagement teams on project assignments and work both independently and in a team setting
  • Self-motivated and proactive work approach
