Publix s Information Services (I/S) department is located in Lakeland, Florida and Alpharetta, Georgia and employs over 1000 associates. I/S provides the information technology required for all Publix business units including retail stores and all office and warehouse environments. The Publix I/S mission is to maximize the value of information technology to Publix associates and customers.

Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst will join a scrum team to deliver quality assured development through manual testing of the Publix.com website. Emphasis will be on eCommerce activities involving the online ordering of gift cards, meals, subs, cakes, platters, seafood, and sliced meats/cheeses. Our offices are in Downtown Lakeland and are newly remodeled with a modern flare including standing/sitting desks, collaborative workstations, and lighting. Telecommuting options are also offered on certain days of the week. We are looking for a tester that is inventive, creative, and who can make our team stronger by finding bugs so they can be corrected before releasing to the Publix shoppers. Someone that loves UI testing and thinking of different paths a customer may take when navigating a website would make the ideal candidate. We seek someone who has experience working in a fast-paced environment utilizing Agile/Scrum processes. This position will analyze the proposed changes being made to the Publix.com website and manually test those changes once implemented making sure they match the acceptance criteria.     • Ability to follow directions on intricate test case scenarios accurately
Daily activities include:
  • Test Planning - Work with the scrum team to understand user stories in current sprint and estimate time needed to test each item. Attend refinements to provide QA effort level on future stories and review/explain any bugs that you created for accurate pointing.
  • Test Analysis and Test Case Creation - Review user story acceptance criteria and asks questions on what may be unclear or missed requirements. Write or update test cases based on changes coming in from those stories.
  • Test New Features - Review daily build report and test what is available on desktop, iPhone, and Android. Create bugs/fails on what does not meet requirements. Communicate with developers on findings. Re-test fixes when available.
  • Test Regression - Learn business rules for the eCommerce area of the website to conduct testing of what could have been unintentionally affected by recent code changes. Be familiar with other parts of the website to help with release regression of full website functionality.
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
  • 2 years experience with cross-platform testing solutions of different browsers and mobile devices
  • 2 years experience using a web-based development tracking tool for managing identified bugs and defects, such as Azure DevOps
  • 1-year experience working on an agile/scrum development team
  • Familiarity with automated web-based testing
  • Familiarity with Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) using SpecFlow
  • Experience with ADA compliance
