Field Research ManagerFort Lauderdale, Florida, United StatesNew1 additional locationUnited StatesResearchRequisition # 20027626Post Date 2 hours agoRESPONSIBILITIESWorks to understand the local business objectives and ensure the team collaborates and supports Business Lines by using research to drive client-based initiatives.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for managing the local team - hiring, budgeting and other team management responsibilities.Regularly engages with market leaders and key brokers to get feedback on research support at the point of sale and identify areas of improvement.Participates in the most important pitch kickoff meetings, and mobilizes team resources in accordance with the needs of specific pitches and pursuits.May be part of the CBRE team delivering the pitch to the client in some cases.Works with national leadership to track FR engagement at the point of sale and measure value creation.Celebrates wins and successes with the team, and works with national leadership team to socialize wins and best practices.Plans for the delivery and update of standard Field Research outputs such as MarketViews, market stacks and skylines, market overviews etc.Performs other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESProvides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION and EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Geography, and a minimum of 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred.6+ years of experience in commercial real estate role ideally managing a team of researchers supporting the point of sale.CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSESNone.COMMUNICATION SKILLSAbility to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGERequires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets.
