Job Description

We are looking for a successful leader and excellent communicator to play a critical role in the growth of Alertus in the commercial market. The Senior Channel Sales Manager will report to the Senior Director of Commercial Sales & Channel Sales Manager and will be a key player in bringing our mission to life. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining new relationships with global partners’ corporate entities and their regional branches ultimately expanding the utilization of the Alertus solution.

This is a position where building strong relationships and maintaining high-performing value-added resellers (VARs) are the keys to success. Our ideal candidate is someone who possesses the ability to build and manage relationships as well as support all aspects of the sales cycle.

A Day in the Life:

  • Acquire new Top Global Channel Partners corporate entities and create new channel streams flowing from these corporate entities into their local branches
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate resellers and their branches ensuring a strong pipeline of unique opportunities are registered weekly
  • Work with your developed VAR networks to support all efforts related to selling the Alertus solution including, but not limited to, training, strategy, solution selling, etc.
  • Establish a standard profile of the optimal VAR Alertus requires for various defined industries
  • Identify and onboard new VARs from your developed and maintained corporate partnerships
  • Head our Partner Certification program and ensure that all VARs are completing and receiving their certifications
  • Ensure all VARs correctly register all leads through the Alertus Vendor Portal
  • Drive the performance of VARs in order to achieve optimal success
  • Help revamp the current Alertus VAR standards including, but not limited to, metrics, goals, agreements, expectations, etc.
  • Ensure all VARs are educated and trained on the Alertus Emergency Mass Notification System
  • Oversee the proper usage of marketing collateral and Alertus branding established for VARs are consistently used and updated

What You’ll Need:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Background or training in a consultative/solution selling environment
  • 8+ years of channel sales experience, preferably in IT or technology-based solutions
  • Prospecting/new business generation focus
  • Channel Sales/partner management experience
  • Experience in selling, presenting, and demonstrating software and technology products or services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience hunting/prospecting for new business
  • Adaptability and ability to thrive under pressure
  • A willingness to travel approximately 30-50% of the time
