RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Doral, FL that is seeking an Infrastructure PM.
Summary:The Infrastructure Project Manager manages a number of large infrastructure projects in support of shore side or shipboard initiatives. These initiatives can be purely infrastructure or in support of a software development effort with complex or large infrastructure footprints. The Infrastructure PM is responsible for all aspects related to taking the projects from original concept through final deployment and contributes as a subject matter specialist in technology infrastructure implementation and light software development. Responsibilities: Define project scope and objectives and develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports Conduct project meetings and produce meeting minutes and issues logs Produce risk analysis and risk mitigation plans Effectively build and manage project budgets Manage people, work and resources as planned: examples include business analysts, application developers and testers Ensure adherence to Project Management Process, Systems Development Methodology and quality standards for producing project deliverables Provide project management, technical and analytical guidance to the project team Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solution of complex problems examples include resource availability conflicts that jeopardize project budget and/or schedule expectations Ensure proper technical procedures are followed Interface with all areas affected by the project: examples include business sponsors, operations, application development, end users, computer services, client services, operations, vendors, and Senior IT management Manage vendor selection, contract negotiations and the integration of vendor tasks into the work plan Track and review vendor deliverables: examples include software development artifacts such as design artifacts and test plansREQUIREMENTS: Degree in Computer Science or related field is required; Advanced degree is highly desirable, particularly an MBA Certification in the system development life cycle and project management is preferred; PMP or PgMP certification is a plus 5-8 years of experience in IT implementing and supporting mixed, complex environments and solutions 6+ years of experience in information technology infrastructure implementations Background in the Cruise Industry will be considered a plus Experience conducting project meetings and subsequently documenting/distributing meeting minutes and action item, including responsibilities for same, in a timely manner Experience progressing complex project schedules, identify and manage the project's critical path, proactively identifying and escalating risks to project's schedule, budget or quality Experience managing the participation of resources assigned to the project and holding them accountable for completing tasks in line with the effort and timeline estimates they provide - escalating issues proactively to resource's manager to mitigate impacts to project expectations Experience managing a team of resources through all phases of the systems development life cycle including the production of deliverables associated with advancing through the phases Experience managing multiple major projects simultaneously utilizing standard project management processes as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Ability to review vendor's statements of work for completeness and relevance to project objectivesKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
