We seek a

Desktop Technician with excellent customer service skills, and a strong desire to succeed and learn! This is a full-time (direct hire) position offering competitive compensation and company benefits.Candidates must currently live within 50 miles of Clewiston, Florida to be considered for this position.

IN THIS POSITIONYou will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support for issues related to all computer hardware, software, printers, and communication devices for up to 1,700 employees. These would include MS Windows 7-10 desktops, printers, wireless, Wi-Fi, computer peripheral, network, AutoCAD, cabling, and other issues. This includes supporting users at corporate, manufacturing sites, and field locations.Currently, the desktop group, a team of three (3) plus this position supports 900 computers over a large geographic area for this large Agriculture/Manufacturing company.The ideal candidate will also have some previous project experience, i.e. researching new systems for the network, contacting vendors, gathering information, and presenting to the manager.U.S. Citizens or holders only, please. We are unable to accept 3rd party candidates or transfer a visa or provide sponsorship.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4+ years of Desktop technical support experience in a Microsoft environment
  • Experience providing technical support for hardware, software, printers, etc.
  • A+ certification and/or a college degree in Information Technology
  • Strong customer service skills, someone who will take ownership of an end-user issue and complete it
  • Strong flexibility and interest in learning and adapting within the environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel locally to field locations and manufacturing sites as needed to provide technical support
  • Must have a clean driving record and be able to drive company vehicles.
  • Willingness to work outside of the office in sometimes challenging environmental conditions.
  • Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule once the candidate has been trained and is capable of supporting the users. Provide support after hours / weekend /holidays. (The candidate will receive overtime pay.)
  • Good analytical & problem-solving skills
