We seekprecision-mindedtradesmen and women who can work with wood. Thoughtful folks. Resourceful folks. Those who findsatisfaction in creating unique, beautiful and functional woodstuff. The kind of folks who respect the craft and take delight in watching others fawn over custom creations.
More specifically, we seek a woodworker who can also build cabinets. Or is it a cabinetmaker who can also work wood? Either way, a carpenter by virtue. This person will create something from nothing, taking a project through every step in its lifecycle after it's designed: Fabrication, Finish, Assembly, Installation. This person will also procure materials on occasion; but if you don't like to hand select hardwood lumber, then this probably isn't for you.
DAY-TO-DAY TASKS:
Mill rough lumber
Machine cabinet components from raw materials (sheetgoods, lumber)
Assemble casework & install organizational hardware
Finish prep (sanding, priming)
Install casework & millwork in the field (residential)
Clean, organize & improve workshop
Maintain tools & machines

TANGIBLE REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in cabinetmaking, cabinet installation, woodworking, high-end finish carpentry, or similar trades
BARE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Show up
Have thorough understanding of, and experience with, woodworking tools & machines
Read a tape measure
Have own transportation andvalid driver’s license
Pass a standard background check
Just say no to drugs
Must be able to pick up and move items up to and in excess of 75lbs
HOURS & COMPENSATION:
Daytime, M-F with negotiable weekends
Pay commensurate with experience
Quarterly merit bonuses
