Bartender / Server

Job brief

We are seeking friendly, service oriented, and motivated individuals to join our team in the serving of signature favorites, seasonal rotations, and experiential style beers to our customers. You will work in a team environment as our facility can accommodate up to 300 patrons among our taproom, mezzanine, rooftop, and patio areas. This position is part-time at an hourly pay rate, plus tips. Must be able to follow instructions in the serving and delivering of craft beer. The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation, so we can expand our clientele.

Responsibilities

Check identification / DOB for all guests in a friendly manner

Serve patrons and present our variety craft beer / menu selection

Advise customers based on their choice in craft beer

Ensure table cleanliness

Follow cash management procedures

Learn our point of sale (POS) system / assist other staff on this system as needed

Maintain compliance with fire, health, safety and hygiene standards and regulations

Comply with all local, state and federal laws, policies, and procedures

Ensure customer satisfaction to increase Wort Hog’s reputation

Requirements

Proven experience

Learn the basics of brewing beer / beer styles / understand our brew house / etc. in order to have an intelligent conversation with patrons who want to know more about craft beer

Outgoing personality, excellent soft skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment

Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet required deadlines

Must be able to make repeated trips up / down stairs while carrying items

Have the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to follow all sanitation procedures

Ability to work in a team

Very good communication skills

Excellent physical condition and stamina

With a passion for exceptional beer and customer service, the Wort Hog Brewing Company was founded in 2015. Our goal was to create a craft brewery that would provide a variety of signature favorites, seasonal rotations, and experiential style beers. We are located in the historic district in downtown Warrenton less than 1 mile from US route 29/15.
