POSITION SUMMARYNFWF is hiring an entry level Helpdesk Support Technician to provide desktop support services to end users at our corporate headquarters in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot end user technology issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide resolution of desktop hardware and software problems. The selected individual will be responsible for making effective use of available technical resources and providing helpdesk/desktop support to our employees both on-site and remotely. The position is based in our Washington, DC office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides front line technical support for all user requests through email, phone and in person.
  • Identify, prioritize, and escalate support tickets.
  • Provision, tag, sets up, and assists in the configuration of end-user PC desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Train staff on basic use of software programs including Microsoft Office 365 Apps, Microsoft Windows, Webmail, Adobe Suite, etc.
  • Records desktop equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal.
  • Process the shipments of assigned and returned equipment for employees.
  • Develops end-user documentation and instructions together with Systems Administrator.
  • Facilitate the deployment and troubleshooting of mobile devices MFA systems.
  • Provide support for video conferencing hardware & software.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year experience using Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise, Windows 10.
  • 1 year of experience working in a help desk environment.
  • Technical knowledge of the techniques and procedures of software and general network support for multiple users.
  • Strong understanding of installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking, and accessory equipment.
  • Experience and knowledge with assembling and disassembling computer components.
  • Advanced MS Office and Windows skills.
  • Must possess analytical skills to assess problems or unusual situations and develop workable solutions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
  • Flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.
