Dog Handler - Doozydog! Club - WDC

The Handler works in the Play Park and is responsible to supervise dogs in an open play environment, keep the dogs safe through a variety of techniques, and thoroughly cleans the entire Play Park to present a sparkling clean space. Essential duties include:

Represent Doozydog! Club in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Perform job duties in compliance with policies and procedures outlined in the Doozydog! Club Team Member Handbooks.

Knowledgeable of all Doozydog! Club services, products, features and benefits; able to promote and articulate knowledge and sell with a friendly, sales-through-service philosophy.

Supervise and care for dog pack within an open play environment; monitor and maintain control of dogs; engage play; continuously on feet with high awareness, maintaining alpha dog status; and de-escalate aggressive play to ensure dogs' safety.

Continuously monitor and immediate clean up of excrement, urine or vomit; disinfect area.

Follow daily instructions with regard to feeding, medications, nap time and outdoor walks.

Manage water supply for dogs.

Maintain a sparkling clean Doozydog! Play Park, Citydog! Sleep & Eat, and feature path; including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing, hosing, sanitizing, removing trash, laundry.

Use proper animal restraint to ensure safety of each dog.

Maneuver 2-3 dogs, on leash, at a time for outdoor walks.

Proper use and maintenance of Club equipment, supplies and tools; identify, report, and correct all needed Club repairs immediately.

Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.

Must be available to work holidays.

Looking for detailed oriented individual with strong work ethics and positive attitude who enjoys helping others. Must enjoy multi-tasking and fast paced work environment. One year experience in the service industry helpful as well as one year experience in the animal field helpful. Past experience working in a Veterinarian office highly desirable.
