Full Stack Developer

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking junior and senior level Full Stack Developers to work on an exciting new government project! This is a long term contract working with a very reputable firm and is located in Washington D.C. Candidates must be US Citizens and must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. This role will start around $55 - $70 hourly DOE with room for negotiation.

• Developer will work on a small team and can switch assignments in a disciplined and fast-paced environment.
• Must be confident to tackle complex problems, and will be expected to work within DevOps environment to design, develop, test, and deploy Java/JVM language technologies, including microservices.
• Successful candidates will be great communicators, strong Java/JVM language skills, experience with CI/CD, technical leader, experienced with Agile software development methodology and effective collaborator working with cross-functional teams.

• Work independently and with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions to complex business and technical challenges
• Able to communicate with other teams and understand the application requirements so that the data infrastructure is compatible and suitable for Analytics and other areas

• Three (3) years of recent experience working with RESTful APIs/Spring Services/Spring MVC along with object relational mapping platforms like Spring Data/Hibernate or similar ORM solutions
• Two (2) years of recent experience working with Java/J2EE application working with Java/J2EE application servers like tomcat, weblogic or JBoss etc.
• Two (2) years of recent experience developing and implementing web 2.0 applications using open source technologies like HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, AngularJS, jQuery
• Two (2) year of recent experience using software development tools like Eclipse/STS, Git, Maven, Ant, Jenkins
• Two (2) years of recent experience with databases (especially Oracle)
• Two (2) years of recent experience with designing and performing unit tests and automated tests

• 6+ years of recent experience developing and implementing software solutions using Java or other JVM languages
• 6+ years of experience on a software engineering team, collaborating with application developers, DevOps automation engineers and systems programmers
• 3+ year of experience working in an agile environment
• 2+ year of experience in using and managing change management tools such as Git or Subversion
• Experience in software development for federal government
• Experience in Responsive Web Design and Single Page web applications
• Experience in server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS & SASS
• Experience in asynchronous request handling, partial page updates & AJAX
• Experience working in a continuous integration environment
