Job Details

As a Senior Software Engineer / Senior Software Developer, you shall support a distributed system providing various Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) features to a diverse customer set. The PaaS system shall support several applications as standalone instances or configured with several supporting components.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity

OR

Nine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Required Skills for Backend Developer:

  • Experience using the Unix command line
  • Experience writing scripts using Bash
  • Basic understanding of Source Control Systems, specifically Git
  • Experience with CI/CD principles and methodologies
  • Familiarity with Ruby and the Rails Framework
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, specifically Node.js
  • General SQL database knowledge, preferably Postgres
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD and pipelines
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • TS SCI w/FS Poly
Desired Skills for Backend Engineer:

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift and Helm
  • Experience with in-memory data structure stores such as Redis
  • Demonstrated domain knowledge in distributed systems (cloud-based technologies)
  • Demonstrated understanding of the core software development lifecycle
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • TS SCI w/FS Poly
